Live Oak Contracting has broken ground on two exciting new projects, McKewn Apartments in Charleston, South Carolina and Great Pond Apartments in Windsor, Connecticut!
The McKewn is a multifamily project located in Charleston, South Carolina and will consist of six buildings, a two-story clubhouse, and 32 garages. The project is valued at $33.5 million and will include a total of 268 units. Amenities will include a pool with a sun deck, an outdoor kitchen and dining area, several cabanas, a dog park, outdoor fitness area, and a fire pit. Inside the clubhouse, residents will have access to a game room, gym, yoga studio, kitchen, and business center. The McKewn is expected to be completed in July 2020.
Live Oak has also begun construction on a multifamily project in Windsor, Connecticut, Great Pond. Great Pond is valued at $31 million and will include new construction of (7) three-story buildings, (1) four-story building, and (1) two-story clubhouse for a total of 236,000 square feet. This garden-style community will feature luxury amenities including a pool with outdoor seating, (2) putting greens, bocce ball court, dog park, firepit, exercise trail surrounding the great pond, outdoor bar and kitchen, package concierge, fitness center with separate yoga studio, business center, and game room. While most units will include private balconies, all units will come equipped with smart hardware including remote access to the apartment from a smartphone, as well as controlled access to the building. Great Pond is expected to be completed in August 2020.
