This year’s Marcus & Millichap Southeastern Multifamily Forum presented Live Oak Contracting’s Managing Partner, Paul Bertozzi the opportunity to confront multiple subjects including the controversial future market adjustment expected to happen within the next 5 years.
Paul was within the company of industry leaders such as Keynote speaker and Aruba native, Egbert L. J. Perry. Perry is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Integral, a company he helped co-found in 1993 with a mission to “Create value in cities and (re)build the fabric of communities.”
At the conference, Paul’s panel addressed topics like where the value is in the market and the investment opportunities around the Southeastern United States. The discussion focused mainly on how investors can optimize investment opportunities in the Southeast in the midst of rising prices and decreased transaction volume.
“It’s not going to be a recessionary adjustment like what we just came out of,” said Paul. “We welcome it at this point… to be able to say that we’re going to pull back and have a little bit of a cleanup in the market per say is a good thing for us. It will reset everything and allow everyone to come back online and continue that push up.”
The panel was moderated by Kurt McGarry, Senior Associate, National Multifamily Housing Group, Marcus & Millichap. Additional contributing panelists included George Connell, Partner, Castlegate Property Group, Scott D. Zwilling, Principal, Spirit Investment Partners, and Paul Mashni, Chief Executive Officer, PEM Real Estate Group.
