Partnering with The United Way’s Builder’s Society, Live Oak Contracting sponsored and took part in a recent transformative community improvement project. Over the course of a few weekends, volunteers installed a Born Learning Trail in Woodstock Public Park located in a historic, but neglected part of Jacksonville. The trail features age-appropriate, simple-to-construct educational activities that are placed along the path to facilitate learning opportunities for young children. In addition to providing a resource for early childhood learning, the project also cleaned up and revitalize the city’s public park. Together, over 20 volunteers deconstructed, pressure washed and rebuilt benches, installed new signs, and constructed Jacksonville’s first Born Learning Trail.
