A Jacksonville native, Katherine Ruttell is the Director of Marketing and Development for Live Oak Contracting, a full-service multifamily and commercial construction company spanning across the east coast.
Under Katherine’s leadership with our company’s marketing efforts, Live Oak Contracting landed on the INC 500 list of fastest-growing private companies, earning #34 overall and was recognized as the #1 fastest-growing private construction company in the US. Live Oak Contracting has also been recognized by American City Business Journals, receiving accolades including Fast 50, Top General Contractors, Best Places to Work, and one of the Coolest Office Spaces in Northeast Florida.
Katherine is passionate about giving back to the Jacksonville community. She supports several organizations, including the Monique Burr Foundation, Jacksonville Children’s Chorus, Boys and Girls Club, Overland Missions, NAIOP Developing Leaders Mentorship Program, Greenscape Arbor Day Tree Festival, The Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation, The Arc, and more.
Before Live Oak Contracting, Katherine studied Business Administration at Florida State College of Jacksonville and worked in the construction industry managing the Jacksonville Branch for ThyssenKrupp Elevator. At Live Oak Contracting, Katherine’s responsibilities include governing administration, planning, development, and execution of Live Oak’s marketing, publicity, and advertising needs. Katherine has been recognized as a Hightower Emerging Leader with the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, a JAX MVP Emerging Leader for the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation, and the Urban Land Institute Center for Leadership class of 2021. She serves as an active member of NAIOP and ULI and served as ULI’s Communications Chair for North East Florida.
