Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, Walker has extensive experience in multifamily and commercial construction across the East Coast. He has completed projects in sectors including multifamily, student housing, health care, aviation, and military facilities totaling over $200 million.
Walker earned a degree in Construction Management with a minor in Real Estate from the University of Florida M. E. Rinker School of Building Construction. He also has extensive experience with green building practices and holds a LEED AP certification.
Prior to joining Live Oak Contracting, he spent 14 years working in the commercial sector as a Superintendent and PM. In an effort to expand his construction knowledge, Walker took a position as PM with a nationally recognized multifamily and student housing contracting firm. His approach to project delivery, schedule, and client relations earned him a promotion to Senior Project Manager within 6 months. From there he successfully managed multiple clients from conception to completion. At Live Oak, Walker oversees our operations team focusing on managing cost control, value engineering, project management, scheduling, quality control, and client satisfaction all while creating an entrepreneurial environment for the team.
Walker is an advocate for the American Heart Association and raised over $50,000 for Heart Walk and Patrons of the Heart. While not in the field or at the office, Walker enjoys coaching local youth baseball, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
