Live Oak Contracting Promotes Jacksonville’s Reforestation Through Greenscape Arbor Day Tree Festival

This Arbor Day, Live Oak Contracting will promote Jacksonville’s reforestation through the “Greenscape Tree Festival,” a free event donating thousands of trees to community residents. The tree giveaway, which will create an abundance of green life in city neighborhoods and inform Jacksonville families of positive ways to impact the environment, is made possible by sponsoring partners like Live Oak Contracting, who will be donating over one thousand trees.

“It’s amazing to think the trees we plant through the Greenscape Tree Festival will be part of our community for hundreds of years,” says Live Oak Contracting President and CEO Paul Bertozzi. “At Live Oak Contracting, everything we build is made to last, and we hope these young saplings will grow to stand beside our work for generations to come.”

Tree species to be donated at the event include the Live Oak, which can live to be over one thousand years old. It is this longevity that inspired the name for Live Oak Contracting, a company deeply rooted in the Jacksonville community where it is headquartered. In addition to the Greenscape Tree Festival, Live Oak Contracting frequently gives back to other charitable Jacksonville causes, including the Jaguars Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida, The Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Safe Harbor Boys Academy, and Downtown Vision, Inc.

The third annual Greenscape Tree Festival is a family-focused fundraising event hosted by Greenscape of Jacksonville on April 6, Jacksonville’s Official Arbor Day. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jessie Ball DuPont Park – the home of Jacksonville’s most famous tree, the Treaty Oak. Activities will include children’s arts and crafts, a petting zoo, live entertainment, and educational talks on trees and the environment.
